Assistant Professor Jens Emil GrønbĂŚk has been awarded a Starting Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) for his project âBRIDGE â Blending Realities for Interaction across Distributed Group Environmentsâ.
BRIDGE will pioneer âBlended Proxemicsâ â a new framework for mixed reality (MR) collaboration that allows people in different physical spaces to work as if side-by-side, while extending their social interactions with new virtual capabilities. By combining conceptual theory, new adaptive MR interfaces, and a Blended Living Lab for real-world testing, the project aims to make hybrid collaboration more creative, spatially engaging, and sustainable.
This award highlights the excellence of Jens Emilâs research in Human-Computer Interaction.
